Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government, under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has continued its push to make technical education more transparent, timely, and quality-driven. In line with this, and under the guidance of Technical Education Minister Ashish Patel, the Board of Technical Education, Uttar Pradesh (BTEUP) has declared the results of the Even Semester/Annual and Special Back Paper examinations held in May/June 2026.
Dr. M.K. Shanmuga Sundaram, Chairman of the Board of Technical Education and Principal Secretary of the Technical Education department, approved the declaration of results for selected courses under the Even Semester (2nd and 4th semester) and Annual examination systems, based on the recommendation of the Board’s Examination Committee.
The Board conducted the Even Semester, Annual, and Special Back Paper examinations across 236 examination centres in the state between May 4 and June 5, 2026, in a peaceful, transparent, and fair manner. A total of 2,68,686 students had registered for these exams — 1,24,671 under the semester system, 1,27,304 under the annual system, and 16,711 for the special back paper examination.
In keeping with the state government’s push for transparent evaluation, answer sheets were digitally assessed at 157 government and aided polytechnic institutions across the state, which helped make it possible to declare the results within the set timeframe.
According to the results, 53,620 students appeared for the 2nd semester exam, with a pass percentage of 66.90. In the 4th semester, 40,646 students appeared, recording a pass percentage of 90.85. Under the annual examination system, the Industrial Safety course recorded a pass percentage of 84.42.
To uphold the integrity of the examinations, the results of 90 students found using unfair means have been withheld, in line with the Examination Committee’s decision. In addition, the committee decided to award zero marks in the relevant subject to 437 students who were found to have written mobile phone numbers on their answer sheets.
Present at the meeting were Prabhakar Chandra Mishra, Director of Technical Education, F.R. Khan, Director of the Research, Development and Training Institute, along with other members of the Examination Committee.
